Privacy policy

Last updated 4 November 2026. Controller: Brainping AB, Limhamn, Sweden. Contact: hello@pinlo.ai.

Pinlo is an app that runs on your own computer and fetches invoices for you. This policy explains two separate things: what the app does with your data, and what this website and our ads collect.

1. The Pinlo app

Pinlo runs locally. Your supplier logins, email access, downloaded invoices and chat history are stored on your computer. We do not run a server that receives them, and we cannot see them.

What the app reads. When you ask it to, Pinlo signs in to supplier portals you have added, reads the pages needed to find invoices, and downloads the invoice files. If you connect an email inbox, Pinlo reads messages to find invoices and attachments. It does not send email on your behalf unless you ask it to.

The AI you choose. Pinlo needs an AI model to understand pages and instructions. You pick which one: a subscription or API key you already have (for example Anthropic or OpenAI), or a model that runs offline on your computer. When you use a cloud AI, the text Pinlo needs to understand (page contents, your instruction) is sent to that provider under their terms. Invoice files themselves are not uploaded unless you ask Pinlo to work on their contents.

Google user data. If you connect a Gmail or Google Workspace account, Pinlo's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to find and download invoices on your computer, is never sold, and is never used for advertising.

Updates and crash reports. The app checks for new versions. It does not send usage analytics in the beta. If we add optional crash reporting later, it will be off by default and this policy will say so.

2. This website and our ads

Setup call and early access. If you book a setup call or sign up through a form on this site or in a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) ad, we receive the details you enter, typically your name, email, company and phone number. We use them to contact you about Pinlo, run the call and gather beta feedback. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to your request, and your consent for any marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time by replying "unsubscribe". We keep these details for up to 24 months after our last contact, or until you ask us to delete them.

Processors. Form and booking data may pass through the tools we use to run the service, such as our calendar booking tool, email provider and Meta's lead-form service. Each acts on our instructions. Some are based outside the EU/EEA and rely on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

3. Cookies

This website works without cookies. We set one kind of optional cookie, and only if you click Accept in the banner:

NameProviderPurposeLifetime
_fbp, _fbcMeta Platforms IrelandMeasure whether people who saw our ads visit this page or download Pinlo, so we can judge if the ads work. Meta may also use this data for its own purposes as described in Meta's privacy policy.90 days

Your choice is remembered in your browser (local storage, no cookie). You can change it at any time via Cookie settings in the footer. Declining does not affect anything on the site.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@pinlo.ai and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

5. Changes

We will update this page when the app or our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change matters to you, for instance a new kind of data collection, we will tell beta users by email.
